Executive Advisory Committee
Committee Charge
Members of this committee agree to serve in an advisory, strategic planning, and policy setting capacity for the operations of the Functional MRI Laboratory. The Executive Advisory Committee discussions will be transmitted to the Steering Committee.
Committee Membership
Functional MRI Laboratory Executive Advisory Committee (EAC) members do not have time limited or term limited roles. Committee members are typically faculty members at the University Departments representing our largest users, but also include representatives from the other key stakeholders, such as the Program in Neuroscience. Committee membership is proposed by the fMRI Co-Directors, and approved by the Vice President for Research.

Committee Meetings
The committee meets typically twice per year, as issues arise, to respect the time of committee members. Agendas are distributed prior to meetings. Committee meetings are staffed by the FMRI Unit Administrator.
Committee meetings may include discussion on the following areas:
- Advising on scientific progress and plans related to the field
- Developing and advising on Laboratory policies and procedures, including, but not limited to:
- Scheduling priorities
- Data access and retrieval
- Safety and Compliance
- Billing policies and procedures
- Hours of operation
- Reviewing unit faculty appointment and promotion casebooks
- Resolving issues including, but not limited to, data acquisition and processing
- Advising on strategic planning
- Reviewing and advising on materials prepared for UMOR reviews
- Reviewing and advising on space planning and construction initiatives
- Reviewing and advising on critical budget concerns or expense outlays
- Implementing new University, Federal, or State laws/guidelines
