Committee Charge

Members of this committee serve in an advisory, strategic planning, and policy setting capacity for the operations of the Functional MRI Laboratory.

Committee Goals

  • Proactive strategic planning based on trends in utilization, scientific developments, and funding (both Federal and University funding)

  • Developing and advising on Laboratory policies and procedures, including:
    • Scheduling priorities
    • Data access and retrieval
    • Safety and Compliance
    • Billing policies
    • Hours of operation

  • Implementing new University, Federal, or State laws/guidelines

  • Reviewing and advising on material prepared for OVPR reviews (last review in 2006)

  • Reviewing and advising on space planning and construction initiatives

  • Reviewing and advising on substantial new purchases, and other matters that will impact the budget

  • Resolving issues including, but not limited to, data acquisition and processing

  • Reviewing quarterly gross vs. budgeted revenues/expenditures for Department and Recharge accounts

  • Reviewing quarterly facility utilization: number/hours of scans scheduled vs. billed, cancelations, etc.

  • Revisiting committee membership based on trends in facility utilization

  • Reviewing faculty appointment and promotion casebooks
